POINTS

Points, for using the vault.

Borrow or lend through the vault and the deal earns points for both sides, in proportion to the ETH that changed hands. A deal that is bought back on time earns more. That is the whole rule, and every number on this page can be recomputed from the vault's own events.

WHAT POINTS ARE

Points are kept off-chain, by us. They are not a token, they are not in your wallet, and holding them gives you no rights to anything: no share of fees, no vote, no claim on the protocol or on anyone. They are a record of use, nothing more. The rules can change, including the weights and the start of a season, and when they do the points are recomputed under the new rules from the same events.

Lending to yourself earns nothing on either side. Splitting one deal into many earns exactly what one deal earns. A deal that defaults keeps its base points and forgoes the bonus.
